News: New Firmware is in the air! Updates for Nokia E72, 5800, and X6

New firmware updates were released this week for 3 Nokia phones. S60 3rd edition handset E72 moves up to version 31.023, S60 5th edition device 5800 Xpress Music firmware goes up to 50.0.005, and S60 5th edition device X6 goes to software version 20.0.005.
A brief summary of changes is below.
Nokia E71
Major update including multiple new applications including Advance Communication Manager, Internetradio, Ovi Sync, and Smart Connect. Existing applications also got updated, including Ovi Maps, the Nokia Web application to 7.2, and Ovi Store update. Several bug fixes and a couple of performance enhancements were also part of this release. It is only available through Ovi Suite (no over the air upgrade), and depending on your region, may not be available just yet, but keep watching.
Nokia 5800
This update is listed as minor, although the addition of kinetic scrolling on the application menu would certainly qualify as major to any user who was waiting for it! However, compared to the E72 update, it is minor. Aside from the new kinetic scrolling feature on the app menu, Ovi Maps & Ovi Store gets an update, and that's about it. Some bug fixes and performance enhancements are also quoted in the change log, and also several small application updates due to the Ovi Maps update.
Nokia X6
Similar to the 5800 update, the X6 update also brings kinetic scrolling to the application menu. Other changes include full screen mode for the web browser, faster music player, and updated Quick Office and Shazam. Again, it may take some time to spread to your region, but keep checking for this update.
